Grief is a universal experience that we all will go through at some time during our life. Grieving is a powerful emotional and energetic process that helps us cope with a loss and is a necessary part of being human. Its purpose is to heal us from what we grieve and prepare us to move forward beyond our pain so that we can begin to live again.
Many life-changing events can trigger grief. Losing a loved one (whether expected or unexpected), a serious illness, divorce, loss of a job, loss of an important relationship, and even losing a dream or significant opportunity can create emotional pain which needs to be mourned for closure and healing.
If you or someone you know is currently grieving, it’s important to validate these powerful feelings and emotions and allow time for cleansing, healing, and the process of recovery.
Grief-Its own special journey:
The Process:
Grief is a very personal process which is unique for each person. It doesn’t have a timeline or specific ending and is experienced differently and individually in each situation.
There are distinct stages of grief which have been identified through the work of Dr. Elizabeth Kubler Ross and her book, “On Death and Dying”. If you or someone around you is grieving a loss, this is important information which can help with awareness of what to expect and what will happen during the grieving process.
On a personal level, I’ve learned a lot about grieving after losing my own mother last year. I’ve learned that grieving isn’t a sequential or tidy process. If you are also going through a loss, you may find that emotions can be surprising and unpredictable during this time. Intense pain and feelings can flood back unexpectedly when forgotten memories surface and special anniversaries or events trigger surprising reactions.
Feelings of loneliness, longing for what was lost, or feeling empty and alone can also show up when you least expect them. These uncomfortable but very common emotions are part of grieving and releasing what was lost. They are a natural and normal part of healing and actually indicate that you are moving forward through the pain.
Expect the unexpected:
Be ready for unexpected changes in circumstances and relationships as well. Others around you can react in surprising ways and relationships may start to change. If this happens, realize that others may not know what to do or how to help and support you during this time.
A constant that you can depend on is your own powerful Higher Power and Angelic Team supporting and encouraging you at all times. You aren’t alone even on the days when you feel lonely and isolated. In the midst of the pain, trust that you are still protected and guided and that better days will come.
Vibrational healing and energy work can help:
It’s important to draw on extra resources and support during vulnerable times like this. Vibrational energy work and healing give extra reinforcement by shifting and restoring your energy to a level of feeling whole again. It can help smooth and re-balance energies throughout your chakras and begin repairing energetic cording torn, broken, or distorted with the intensity of the grief.
Energy healing also helps restore and repair your connection with your Higher Self/Divine Self and Universal energies which can strengthen your sense of belonging and feeling protected.

- 12-step groups and meetings such as Al Anon and Emotions Anonymous help with fellowship, support, and group wisdom.
- Professional grief counseling and/or a grief support group can help you feel less isolated and alone with your grief.
- Vibrational energy healing sessions clear and heal trauma energies and work to stabilize at multiple levels to reinforce feeling protected and supported.
Grieving is a powerful and uniquely personal experience which takes time. If you need to grieve a loss in your life, it’s important to give yourself the energy, resources, and space necessary to heal. Grief will change you, but it also prepares you for the important work of moving forward and being able to fully live your life again.
